Projects - The Dragon Slayer Project

[Level 23, Direforge Hill, The Wetlands]

Victorie has move onward and upward to The Wetlands, where she encountered a large smattering of red whelps on the eastern slope. Despite the fact that she was level 22 and the whelps were levels 24-27, she's victorious in besting the little creatures. Enough to have gotten her up to level 23. And that is thanks in no small part to the lessons Darkson taught her a couple of nights ago. She's now stealthing and ambushing the little whelps to great success. The only problems come in when THEY ambush her, or more than one gang up on her. But she has Vanish now, which is so amazingly useful ... it almost feels like an Easy Button when I employ it.

I spent some time learning about the red whelps and their lore, which I've written up as an article for the Diary of a Dragon Slayer. I was particularly fascinated with Grim Batol, the imprisonment of Alextrasza there, and why those red whelps might be so nasty to intruders! And, even more interesting, Neltharion/Deathwing may be involved. As Victorie encounters dragonkin and I learn more about their lore, the bigger picture is slowly being revealed ... and I am beginning to realize how cool it is that Victorie has this morbid crusade against dragons. Dragons, and Deathwing in particular, will feature largely in the upcoming Cataclysm expansion. By the time the Cataclysm is upon Azeroth, will Victorie be prepared to face Deathwing the Destroyer himself?

Victorie had no time to slay dragons yesterday, but I'm hoping she can resume her cold-blooded murder this evening.
