[Level 21, Redridge Mountains] Last night Victorie achieved level 21 just by killing Black Dragon Whelps. And, boy, I gotta tell you ... that level was so much easier and way more fun than just running around and exploring for experience. Finally, Victorie is slaying dragons! At first Victorie was just killing the whelps using her two longswords -- run in and whack at them until they die. But my favorite rogue in the world, Darkson, spent the evening educating her on how to be a proper rogue. He first gave her a dagger so she could do things like backstab, but he didn't just give her any dagger -- he gave her the prized Talon of Vultros! He taught her how to stealth until they just barely detect you, giving you time to get in behind them and ... wham ... AMBUSH! And, my jaw dropped when I saw the kind of damage Victorie could do when she was being properly roguish. Thank you, Darkson ... you're my hero! While Victorie was happily killing whelps last night, a passing adventurer whispered a "good luck" to her. He's read about her exploits on the forums, and we chatted a bit while we battled the enemy. I rather enjoyed that. So Victorie is now half way into level 21 and having a grand ol' time slaughtering the whelps. I'm learning a lot about them -- both through research and practice -- so I decided to put all my findings down into a journal of sorts. I'd like to do it on a regular basis for each dragon type I encounter, building my own special Compendium of Dragon Slaying. I'm including information on where to find them, what they look like, lore and history, how to kill them, and other notes I've learned about them, including related quests and rare/elite types in the vicinity. Here's the first diary page about the Black Dragon Whelp. I look forward to reaching level 22, but after that, it may be time to move on to the Wetlands and tackle the red whelps ... and that will be a real test of my newfound abilities, as they are several levels higher. But before I do, Victorie will sneak into the Stonewatch Keep to try to slay Singe, the little whelp at Gath'ilzogg's side. I'm sure Victorie will die in the attempt, seeing how she cannot also attack Gath'ilzogg. But that's a small price to pay for another notch in her swordhilt.
