[Level 33, Swamp of Sorrows]

After help from her daddy, Victorie attempted to slay the green whelps near Itharius' Cave once more. While it went better, it was still a struggle. So Victorie left in disgust to see if anyone had odd jobs for her. And, in fact, between Stranglethorn Vale and Shimmering Flats, she was able to glean enough experience for one more level. Another visit to city for some new gear -- including an Adventurer's Pith Helmet -- and she was ready to venture into the swamps again.

At level 32, the green whelps were much more manageable. Victorie is now ambushing and slaying them with considerably more ease. They still zip about the swamp, making it a bit of a challenge to isolate one and slay it without bothering its neighbor. This problem pales in comparison to the real challenge here, however -- other dragon slayers! It seems everytime Victorie enters the swamp, others are here before her and the tiny green whelp bodies already litter the ground. While Victorie is delighted others are taking up the fight to rid the land of dragons, she's frustrated that she often cannot pitch in. (Read: There are LOTS of players here farming the whelps for the Tiny Emerald Whelpling!)

So Victorie has had to rise early and stay up late to slay enough dragons to satisfy her obsession. But she has managed enough for another level. And she is now seasoned enough to wear the Wing of the Whelpling cloak, given to her by her friend Azrielis.
