3 (Seriously!)/looks about 17-18 years in human form
Male
Too young for a mate just yet.
Lawful Good (with neutral tendencies)
Currently longish and held in a ponytail. Dark gold in color
Blue. Typical anglo shape. Glows iceblue when emotionally stressed or about to shift to his dragon-mode.
Average
What one would expect for the average paladin.
When seen without his armor or while he is in dragonmode, one will notice that his skin and hide is adorned with various simple tattoos, often Darnassian script or Draconic runes arranged in blessings and prayers. Beyond that, not much else.
He is still young, so any scars he may have gotten during his paladin training are faint and unnoticeable.
Recently: They've faded some, but there are some faint burn scars on his torso, arms (forelegs), and lower legs (rearlegs)... but you'd have to catch him without his armor or in his dragonform first.
Because of his heritage, he is drawn to clothing and armor that bear any of the various shades of blue. When not in combat, he generally wears light, simple clothing similar to that of the Night Elven culture around Teldrassil. When on missions, he is easily identified by his high-mobility blue-hued armor.
At first glance, one just sees a young paladin, barely an adult by most human standards, and fairly non-descript, aside from a few Draconic runes on his armor here and there. Ruddy, mildly aesthetically pleasing, blue-eyed, confident. The look of your run-of-the-mill adventurer. Most would just pass him by, and one can easily tell he would prefer it that way.
By the looks of his skin, an ardent observer could tell that he used to be fair, but it looks like hard travel has finally colored him in. Perhaps his light bronze skin is the result of either a fine layer of dirt or the kiss of a harsh sun. A touch of the arcane mingles with the prevalent aura of holy light that could be felt around him; not enough for most to notice, but a few would understandably be curious.
He seems to be the friendly sort, and may have a tale or two to tell. It won't hurt if you say hello.
Two-handed runeaxe and a longsword (sidearm)
Swings between formal and casual as the need arises. Maintains intelligence throughout.
He is, at his heart, a protector and a helping hand. His morals are strong, due to his paladin training, and he has learned to be both objective of culture and respectful of nature because of his upbringing by a former archdruid. Conversely, because of his Darnassian upbringing, he may seem aloof and distant at times, especially when deep in thought or meditation.
--He is still very young, so he will still do and say things childishly or out of impulse and instinct.
--Saphrit recently discovered that he is easily seasick. Because of this, he despises sea-travel unless it is absolutely necessary and/or has a chance to shift into his dragon form to fly about every now and then.
Perhaps due to his draconic heritage, Saphrit has taken a keen interest in the arts of Jewelcrafting and Enchanting.
Namely his affinity for the Light, which is a rare thing for the already rare Blue Dragonflight. This affinity was pointed out to Saphrit's adoptive father in Outland, sparking the young drake's paladin training.
Obviously, his dragon heritage makes things difficult. Few people trust dragons, and few dragons trust people. He tends to keep his heritage a secret, but he is proud of it and isn't afraid to admit his ancestry if the need arises.
By default after ArchDruid Pterneldan Crossdeep's apparent death and currently missing status, Saphrit is now the leader of Clan Crossdeep, also known as the "Dragonguard".
--His adoptive father, former archdruid Pterneldan Crossdeep; one whom Saphrit calls "An'da", or 'father' in the elvish language. Pterneldan had raised Saphrit since he was but a hatchling, and young Saphrit had always been close to his adoptive father. ((Due to events in the past year, Pterneldan is currently missing, and Saphrit has been going out of his way to find him...))
--Rii-nee, a young gorloc and his adoptive sister. Loves her dearly, and protects her like a good older brother should.
--Terrothanes and Gilthoniel, due to their proxy to Saphrit's adoptive an'da. Saphrit and Terrothanes developed a sort of semi-rivalry due to their similar heritages. ((Gilthoniel has gotten Saphrit and the rest of the Dragonguard concerned after Pterneldan's disappearance. As of this time, Gilthoniel's whereabouts are unknown.))
--Tuan. A wily she-rogue that had associated herself with Archdruid Crossdeep over the course of several run-ins. ((The She-Rogue has become a sort of mother/Big-Sister-figure for Saphrit and Rii-nee since Pterneldan's disappearance.))
"Anyone who is a friend to my An'da is a friend of mine." - Saphrit
--Anyone and anything that would dare harm the world and the innocent life that lives on and within her.
--Anyone callous enough to treat dragonkind as mindless pets or mounts.
-- Imry - White Cat. After being allowed to tend to Imry by his adoptive an'da, Pterneldan, Saphrit has taken a liking to her and the lessons in responsibility she has taught him through his care.
--Snowstorm - His trusty steed. So named because of the stallion's white coat of fur.
--Halcyon - His father's prized riding Hippogryph. ((Since Pterneldan's disappearance, and due to Saphrit's current condition, the Hippogryph has been lending his wings to the young paladin.))
Mission
Dragon-son of the Light
"An'da always said this to me: 'Do not judge one for what they are but who they are.' I suggest you do the same."
-His family and clan (as mismatched as they are, his younger sister especially)
-His heritage (It doesn't bother him, but he does keep it low key.)
-The Light (He is a paladin, of course.)
-The World (Whatever 'it' is in the World, specifically, changes from season to season.)
Currently: Stopping a certain sect of the Twilight's Hammer that has been hellbent on making the lives of his family and his clan a waking nightmare.
--The survival of his clan (which he became leader of after his adopted father was killed/had vanished)
--The survival of this world he calls home, and the well-being of the worlds tied to this world's fate.
Currently: Due to current events involving a particular sect of the Twilight's Hammer, Saphrit has lost the ability to shift into his natural draconic form. As a result, he is now working to restore his dragonmode.
Priority: Finding his adopted father or at least learning of Archdruid Pterneldan Crossdeep's penultimate fate.
Occasionally: Maintaining the paths of time at the behest of the Bronze Flight. Various members of his clan have gone back and forth through time under the Bronze Flight's watch 'fixing' things in the timestreams... To what end? Only the Flight truly knows. (OOC: This is our fancy/cop-out way of letting other people claim responsibility for quests and things the rest of us have done. ... Messy, ain't it?)
History
Wyrmrest Temple, Dragonblight, Northrend // Ironforge, Dun Morogh
Most dragon-whelps that find themselves in the hands of a mortal often wind up treated as pets and pack animals... and such relationships (if they could be called that) never really do end well. As one can imagine, grown dragons find mortals tasty.
In the case of Saphrit, however, his egg was fortunate enough to find its way into the hands of someone a touch wiser than most, and he flourished under the care of one he would one day call "An'da". His egg was abandoned to the snowy wastes by the Blue Flight that was discovered to be his lineage, simply because of the odd (and obviously undesirable to the Blue Flight) color of his eggshell. If it were not for the intervention of the Red Flight, Saphrit's egg would have perished in the cold.
The first few months after hatching were trying for the young dragon, as he was born into a time of great turmoil, and his caregiver was ever on the move -- which meant that Saphrit had to go on the move with him. Were he given to any other caretaker, none would have considered teaching the poor whelp how to take on human guise, simply as anyone else would rather parade arounda new pet than care for a child. And a child was what Saphrit was; his caregiver knew this well. In time, the caregiver became a sort of father figure to Saphrit, and eventually the caregiver adopted Saphrit properly as his own son.
Saphrit was barely more than 6 months old when a trip to the Draenic city of Shattrath revealed the young dragon-child had an affinity for the Light, and he was bid to begin training in the path of the Light straight away. Under the watchful eye of the Naaru, Saphrit trained next to the Vindicators of Draenor in the arts of the Hammer and the Shield.
Over the following months and possibly years, Saphrit grew into a fine young drake and his human form reflected his growth from a simple dragon-child to a Vindicator of the Naaru. His adoptive father was at his side encourage him at every step, and it was clear that Archdruid Pterneldan Crossdeep was very proud of his dragon-son. ... and for a time, all was as it should be.
But then, disaster came in the form of the vengeful Twilight's Hammer, and Saphrit believed his beloved An'da to be dead after the Hammer's machinations. Now, with the arrival of a strange man from Gilneas, a new adventure begins for the Dragon-son of the Light and his ecclectic adoptive clan...

Time - Midnight
Location - Darnassus, Teldrassil
It’s been a few days since we arrived in Darnassus. While we are indeed safe here in Teldrassil’s branches, I can’t help but think that we are a touch unwelcome here. Perhaps it was Master Theluin’s influence that is allowing us to remain here relatively unharrassed by the citizens. The worst of it was only for Terro’s sake, considering his heritage. At the least he is accustomed to constant surveillance.
We felt a rather big earthquake during our stay here thus far, and we have just now gotten word from the mainland that Darkshore was at the epicenter. Much of the region is in shambles, and both the Cenarion Enclave and the Temple of the Moon are sending all able volunteers to Darkshore to assist in the relief effort. I am considering joining this effort, as Rii-nee and I practically grew up in Auberdine.
I’d better let the rest of the clan know where I’m headed.

Time - Sunset. I think.
Location - Passenger Cabin aboard the “Full Moon on the Horizon”… somewhere near the Maelstrom… *inkblot*
Status – Ill. Very ill.
Light. I HATE boats. At this rate, I’ll be mistaken for a green dragon. Getting to Rut’theran cannot happen fast enough. I need to stretch my wings and get away from all this pitching and rolling, but it’s still light out. Light, give me strength.
And there goes my lunch. Ugh.

Location - Ruins of the Old Barracks, Stormwind City
We decided the safest route would be to borrow a few of the Thorium Brotherhood's gryphons. Apparently, the idea of walking past the Altar of Storms gave everyone the willies. At least we made it into town discreetly, for Terro's sake. He's still a wanted Dragon within city limits, so he's going to need a low profile, at least until we can all get onto the boat. *inkblot*
I need to say this much: I hate boats.

Saphrit's Log -- 009

Location - Iron Summit, Searing Gorge
Short stopover before we cross the pass over Blackchar Caverns. Apparently, someone forgot to restock our water back at Thorium Point, and summoned water can only last so long out in this lifeless place... A minor delay, but it was long enough for Rii-nee to finally open up what it was that was bothering her.
It was a rather terrifying nightmare she described. She saw me flying around free in Dragonform, then she watched me get shot down to the ground by agents of the Hammer -- who then hacked off my wings and dragged me away, bloody, bound up, and enslaved. All she could do was watch in horror. Now I don't blame her for trying to find me... But, now that we can look back, she could have at least used our hearthstone magic to at least call and check if I was alright. I think she knows that now, and we can afford to avoid another scene like the one we had the other day.
Still, I need to remember that R'ee is a Gorloc, specifically a descendant of the Oracles. This nightmare could be a premonition. I'll need to speak with Tuan, Aaron, and Terro. We might need to find a different route to Stormwind.

Saphrit's Log -- 008
Created On: 05/08/2011 21:13:49
Time - Morning
Location -- Thorium Point, Searing Gorge
Rii-nee...
We arrived at Thorium Point late in the day, and found her and Aaron waiting for us there. Our Gilnean friend was looking a little shaken, and we learned from Rii-nee just why; she had a terrible dream late last night or something and ran off on gryphonback just to see if I was okay, leaving Aaron behind to frantically search for her. If it weren't for all the stress, Aaron confessed, he would have taken her aside and told her about how close she had gotten all of us into serious trouble.
After things calmed down a little, and after she and Tuan had a little girl-talk, we settled in for the night in the tent the Thorium Brotherhood provided for us. I was then awakened in the middle of the night by Aunti Topazi, and I could tell, though I was half-asleep, that she needed my help and quickly. No sooner had I gotten on my armor, I was taken to a time a few years in the past and dropped right in the middle of a rescue mission in darkest Duskwood.
A hero of Azeroth and her warband had run into some trouble with a local evil, (a soul-eating, fel-blooded satyr, no less!) and before dropping me into battle, I was reminded not to tell anyone about what was to come in the future for the sake of the timeline. Of course, I agreed, and I led the charge into the Twilight Grove to face the demon and his Infinite Flight cohorts. Once in the fray, I only had a moment to get a good look at just who it was the Satyr has captured, and I was surprised that An'da was among the demon's prisoners! Knowing he was in danger gave me good reason not to hold back on the demon, and he fell to the full might of a dragon that weilded the Light.
After defeating the satyr and the agents of the Infinite Flight, I learned that An'da was acting as an agent of the Bronze Flight... and that he, too, was from the past. If only I was able to tell him what terrible things we had to live through. All I was allowed to tell him was I was from his future, past the cataclysm he foresaw, and that he would not be there to see it come to pass.
We later found ourselves in the Moonglade, aiding Keeper Remulos in summoning the Tyrant of the Dream into Azeroth. We were beset by the Infinite Flight in the midst of the chaos, and I watched as An'da was met with dragon claw as he tried to rescue the Scarab Lord to be. *inkblot*
I promised Rii-nee I'd never use the sacred magic known only as Divine Intervention, and since the Shattering, it has lost its usefulness to all Paladins, including myself... But after seeing the corrupted Lord Eranikus nearly kill An'da in front of me, I had to do something, and fast.
*inkblot and several scribbles* I can't begin to describe what followed after I used the sacred magic. I found myself instantly weakened by an impact that felt like I had a blade of fire being run through my heart. After that, I found myself facing a path of light, but it was blocked off by a gate, and ... I think I heard the voices of the Naaru greeting me from beyond that gate. For whatever reason, they would not let me pass. After that, a great Green wrym met me at the gate and beckoned me to follow.
That's when I awoke in An'da's arms. Light, was I glad to see he was okay, and I think I had idea why he hugged me so tightly when I asked if we won the fight. It turned out that we did, and a now purified Lord Eranikus thanked my An'da by leading me back to the realm of the living, and offered me the aid of the Green Flight in the future. Given our situation after the Shattering, the aid of the Green Flight would be a great help to us.
An'da and I traded good-byes a while afterward, and I could tell he was very proud at how much I had grown. ... I miss him more than ever, now.
I was returned to my own time, and the reality that we are now in. I found Rii-nee awake and out of her tent, watching the sunrise with her snowsaber, Sabelli. She apparently had been having trouble sleeping again, saying that it was the dry weather here. I think she knows that I know she's lying, but I don't think she's ready to talk about what her nightmare was about with me just yet.
The others will be getting up soon, and after we eat and pack up, we'll need to decide where to head out from here.. The fastest way to Stormwind port might be the pass just North of Blackrock Mountain. We might need to move quickly so we don't attract the attention of the attentions of the Hammer, as Blackrock is one of their bases of operation.
