Character Details

Thirty-One
Male
Neutral Good
Mostly black and short-ish down the back of the neck, with two long plaits hanging in front of the shoulders.
Dark green, round, fairly small.
8'11''
Muscular, although about above average for Tauren.
A rather prominent snout, and a slightly large tail.
None yet, aside from a few small, everyday scars.
Mostly leather and hand-made. He wears pants and shirt with cloak, gloves, boots, bracers and vest.
Soldair is a fairly large Tauren, with dark red-brown fur. He is rather muscular and bulky. His hooves are rather large and light in colour, and his hands are big and darker. His fairly short, dark hair goes down his neck and back in a 'mane', with two plaits hanging down in front of his shoulders. His muzzle is slightly wide and square with a gold ring in his nose, and his eyes are dark green, small and round.
Currently a gun (although he'd like to use a bow) and a one-handed axe.
Slightly old-fashioned British accent. Grammatical errors are inconsequential. He often pauses before he speaks, and sometimes takes a while to respond, while he thinks of what is best to say. Usually speaks in Taur-ahe.
Very optimistic, and can be very generous. He is overly curious. He can occasionally seem a little distant, as, although he can be friendly and talkative, he doesn't make many friendships. He is really a gentle giant.
Can and does describe places he's been in beautiful 'purple prose', and greatly enjoys doing so. He is also deathly afraid of rabbits, on account of a childhood 'incident' that he refuses to talk about.
He is beginning skinning and leatherworking, so that he can use all of what he kills and become more self-sufficient. He is working hard to improve at said professions.
He is a good tracker and explorer, and can follow tracks and maps well. He has a great affinity with animals, as well.
He can seem a little distant and unperceptive. He also generally puts his exploration before anything else, and can't seem to understand why others don't enjoy it as much, or have other priorities. He also doesn't want to fight those of the alliance, or other enemy groups, seeing all as equal in the grand scheme of things.
A Boar, who Soldair named Chareth.

Mission

The world's out there - let's find it!
As well as members of the family being hunters, he rather liked the idea of being able to explore the world with an animal friend. He wants to see everything without some of the responsibility that other classes have.
He wants to see everything there is to see, experience everything there is, and meet as many people as possible along the way.

History

Camp Narache. He has now left to explore the world.

Ever since he was young, Soldair has been a very curious person. His parents were constantly trying to keep him away from fire, hungry animals, weapons practices, his father's bow, his brother's mace, his sister's sword and anything else he could possibly be curious about. His father, a hunter, began teaching him about the ways of a hunter, although he left the pointy areas of the work out until he was older.

He and his siblings were very close, and often played together. Although the two older tauren were usually away improving their skills and exploring, they regularly came back. They, along with their parents, were incredibly proud when Soldair said he would be a hunter.

After saying goodbye to his family, he finished a few things the camp leaders wanted done, then set out to prove himself on the Rites of the Earthmother. He has since headed to Bloodhoof Village, and is continuing to help there.
Arrived at Bloodhoof Village and set about helping.

Quests

Quests are a special way to explore and develop your character. Here you will find roleplay-oriented quests that will require you answer questions about your character, obtain roleplay items, create a special connection, take a certain screenshot, etc. Quests are posted on a regular basis -- return to look for new quests! The more quests you do, the more "character points" you earn. Character points will open up more fields, tabs, quotas, and special features. (This is an experimental feature; expect it to change as feedback is received!) [To begin questing, login, click Edit Your Character Sheet, and choose Quests.]
When he was twenty, his father took him out into the wild and let him use his gun. His father stood back as he hunted that night's meal (plainstrider). He successfully killed it, and thanked the Earthmother, as he had been taught.

I finally headed out on my journey. It was such a brilliant experience, seeing things I'd never seen before.

Heading down the road out of Bloodhoof village felt brilliant. As lovely as Camp Narache is, I can't help but feel that it's a little cramped. Seeing wolves up close was certainly an excellent experience, having only seen them from afar. They have the most beautiful fur. However, I think I may have strayed into their territory, as a few of them took offence and attacked me.

Since arriving in Bloodhoof village, which is a little larger than the camp, I've seen so much. I've seen different Plainstriders, Cougars, Stalkers, Swoops and a few Kodo. I've also found a few people who, unfortunately, aren't the friendly type. As much as I've tried to avoid them, they continue to make their unpleasant presence known, and something had to be done. The Venture Co. have been dealt with, as have the Palemane, and I even ran into a pair of centaur, who weren't happy to see me.

I have, however, been lucky enough to find some of my own kind who seem rather friendly, if a little strange. A shaman and a warrior, who called each other Daryl and Rascal respectively, seemed rather strange when I approached, with a strange manner of speaking, and repeated referrals to 'this game' and 'levels'. And they attacked innocent Plainstriders and Kodo for no reason! When I called them out on it, saying “It seems a shame to harm such beautiful creatures.”, Daryl replied with “you can't be soft in this game.” Soft? I wasn't being soft, merely respectful. And what game was he talking about? I'd rather not be in a Kodo.

The scenery is simply beautiful. It's a brilliant start to my journey.

The book is a loosely bound, dog eared leather journal. The rough leather on the outside is plain and undecorated, aside from a few patches where the original covering has worn through. It is kept together by a fraying piece of string. The light cream pages are lightly dirtied at the edges, and the corners are slightly dog-eared, although it is obviously well-loved and well-read. Inside, the pages are crammed full with an untidy scrawl, decorated with lovingly drawn sketches and images. A few pages have coloured paintings, ones that show maps or landscapes in beautiful detail. The pages have scribbled notes and diagrams of animals, plants, buildings and people crammed into the margins.
