Rose has slightly pointed ears that can sometimes be seen peering through her golden tresses, though she does her best to keep them hidden.
The skin on her hands and feet are rough from callouses.
Can normally be seen in a modest Dress or Robe of some kind, usually Red or Green in color, and wears a Queen's Jewel on her Left Ring-Finger
Rose has smooth skin that is almost milky in color. Her hands and feet are notably small, almost dainty.
Prefers a Staff or a Sword, though relies mostly on her cherished Fire Spells
A somewhat Refined Speech Pattern but with a Slight Country Accent
Rose has a Kind heart, Sweet disposition, and is often very Cheerful and Optimistic. While slow to anger, when provoked her Temper is quite Fiery. Rose is also very loyal to Stormwind and the Alliance as well as her Friends and Family.
Rose visits Westfall frequently, often Giggles when she Laughs, likes Sweets (Cake, Candy, you name it) and Hot Apple Cider, is practically Obsessed with Clothing, oh, and of course loves FIRE! Also an avid groupie of TAFKATL80ETC (that Sig Nicious is such a hottie).
Grand Master Tailor and Grand Master Enchanter; She'll be more than happy to darn a sock or help make that sword glow pretty, but when it comes to her cooking...well, she's working on that.
Rose is a bit of a prodigy. She was accepted into the Stormwind Mage Academy at the age of 13 and finished her studies there at 16. She's also quite adept at sewing and at having her nose stuck in a book.
She can be Timid at times and is Easily Frightened as well as Easily Excited. She also has a lack of Faith in Herself.
Harrier of the Twilight Vigil, Mage of The Kirin Tor and Crusader of The Argent Crusade; Rose supports King Varian Wrynn and Stormwind with almost unquestionable devotion as her father taught her, and she also follows the Light with perhaps more devotion than a typical magic user would, thanks to her mother's influence.
Mother – Alia Rathbern-Hart, deceased; Father – Neiman Hart, deceased; Grandfather – Armen Rathbern, deceased; Grandmother – Rozelle Starflame-Rathbern, whereabouts unknown; Uncle – Ravis Rathbern, whereabouts unknown; Husband – Vinceant Sunchild, whereabouts unknown, Satu Emrial (whom she thinks of more as a Sister), Natikya Emrial (Mentor), Rosque Emrial (Natikya's Husband), Akado Shadowstep (considered a Brother or another Father figure, unbeknownst to him), Christyne Sandshimmer (Akado's Foster Daughter), Sylvia Treestrider (former Apprentice and Akado's other Foster Daughter), Starlind (Best Friend and Guildmate), Einin (like another older Sister or perhaps a favored Aunt), Aeleth Amellyn (Friend), Sathena (Friend), Myn (Friend), Wyluli (Friend), Martane (Friend), Talsuzu (Friend) and many others.
The Defias Brotherhood, a mysterious group of High/Blood Elves that seem to have some connection to the Sunwell, Bad People in general, and Ice
She can be seen most often with her Kirin Tor Familiar she calls Tidus or her pet owl named Merriweather. Her horse, Stefan, along with her Magnificent Flying Carpet she created through tailoring and a bit of magic, are among her companions as well.

Rose hopes to be reunited one day with her husband and perhaps the other missing members of her family. Besides that priority she wishes to study more and lend her skills to the establishment of peace.
Actively searching for the whereabouts of her Husband, Grandmother, and Uncle.
History
Currently resides in Dalaran City
Born on a farm near Moonbrook, Westfall
Rose was born as Briar Rose Hart, the only child of a Stormwind soldier turned farmer named Neiman Hart and his half-elven wife, Alia.Rose’s childhood was a fairly peaceful one on the plains of Westfall, near the ruined town of Moonbrook, until her mother passed away from an incurable illness when she was eleven. It was at this time that a young woman named Satu Emrial came to stay with Rose and her father, at the request of Satu's mother, in order to help them through their grief. Satu's mother was a friend of Rose’s parents as well as a priestess.
Not long after Alia’s funeral, a group of high elves appeared and attempted to take Rose away, but Satu helped to thwart their plan.It was after this that Neiman began to worry about his daughter’s safety.
Once things had settled down, Satu left to begin her training as a paladin and Rose made a decision. She decided to go to Stormwind and study at the MageAcademy there, as she had her mother’s gift of magic, and her talent had been noticed. Neiman agreed to let her go as he felt that maybe being at the school would be safer than just their little farm on the plain. So at thirteen, Rose was admitted into the StormwindMageAcademy.Though she was bright and determined, her time there was not without hardship. She faced ridicule from students and teachers alike due to not only her age, but her country background.
It was here that she met a Master who had faith in her abilities, named Ravis Rathbern, but just as she was finishing her study and training, now three years later, Ravis mysteriously disappeared.
Unsure of where to go next, Rose returned to Westfall to help her father.By now the Defias Brotherhood had grown in number.Rose helped the citizens of Westfall alongside her father, until a small unit went to go and track down Edwin VanCleef, the Defias leader.Neiman went with them, and none of them ever returned.
Assuming her father dead, Rose chose to leave Westfall and continue to study and train at Northshire Abbey in ElwynnForest.Things went well there, and when she was finished, she began to journey on her own, without clear purpose.
By chance she met Satu again, who was founding a group of adventurers that she was calling the Twilight Vigil.Satu asked her to join and Rose eagerly accepted. They traveled together with many friends, and eventually their ventures led them into the once proud gnome capitol, Gnomeregan.A man accompanied them by the name of Vinceant, a Paladin of The Knights of the Silver Hand, and the next in line to be the Lord of his family in the Arathi Highlands.Rose and Vinceant fell quickly in love and several months later, were married.
Vinceant eventually joined the Twilight Vigil as well, and took over his family, but soon their happiness began to fade.First, Rose was kidnapped by a group of Blood Elves who seemed to have a connection with the Sunwell.Luckily, Satu and the Vigil were able to rescue her, but then Vinceant began to grow distant. He seemed to be battling with some inner demons.
As the returned King Varian Wrynn prepared to set sail for Northrend, Vinceant was on one of the first ships to cross, and he and Rose lost contact. Eventually, Rose followed after him. As she traveled across the continent, she soon made the difficult choice to leave her dear friends of the Twilight Vigil in order to aid some new friends known as The Knights of Ehre, of whom she had made acquaintance with in Northrend.
Now, she continues the search for her husband, for her teacher whom she has also discovered is her Uncle, and for her grandmother, as well as aiding her new and old friends, in hopes of finding some answers to her past, and how that knowledge may shape her future.

Rose was about three years old when one day her father found her playing in the barn. Taking a small break from his work, he brought Rose over to their horse's stall so that she might pet the pinto. The child seemed to shy away from the animal at first, but after a few minutes she was giggling and petting the horse's mane all on her own. Suddenly, a fuss in one of the other stalls drew his attention, so Neiman left Rose sitting atop the stall door for only a moment. He had barely left his daughter’s side when he heard an unexpected thud and the horse whinnying as if in panic. Rushing back to the equine’s stall, he found Rose huddled in the corner, a hand held out in front of her. Before the girl’s out-turned palm was a leaping flame of bright orange fire. The horse, obviously afraid of the small burning light, was trying madly to get out of the stall and rearing up on its hind legs. Neiman quickly opened the door and began to work on calming the beast down. In the end he had to lead the animal out of the barn and let her run around outside in the pasture before going back to check on Rose.
He returned to find the child still crouched in the corner and by now she was crying for her mother. The flame was gone, but Neiman could still detect a faint aroma of something burning. Lifting Rose from the hay, he took her straight to Alia, telling her of what he had seen before they both asked their daughter what had happened. She explained to them (as best she could) that the “Horsey bites.” After a quick examination they found no real injury. The horse had merely nibbled on Rose’s hand and it had frightened her, thus causing the girl to lose her balance and tip over into the stall where she scrambled to the corner and had produced the flame to protect herself. Needless to say Alia contacted her brother right away about the incident and he came to test Rose’s abilities. His conclusion was that should Rose continue to show progress, they might want to enroll her in a school at some point, not to mention that it could be dangerous.

Today is the day! I can hardly contain my excitement! Last evening a few of us who were planning to take this trip were discussing the coming meeting with Ambassador Steadyhand. Most of them were draenei who seemed to have a deep distrust for orcs, but not that I blame them. They have good reason to do so. I just pray that everything will go peacefully. In fact, before I Ieft the city last night I stopped in the Cathedral to ask the Light's protection. I know that if Satu were going she would have done the same. It made me feel a bit better. After that I made sure that my things were all in order and then made the journey here to the Deepwater Tavern in Menethil Harbor to stay the night. As you can see I am far too excited to sleep. I guess now all I can do is wait for the others to arrive. I hate waiting...the minutes seem like years!

**On the opposite page a quick comment has been scrawled.**
The KoE has received an invitation from Lady Proudmoore herself! It’s so exciting! I definitely plan to go and represent the Alliance as well as the guild. I spent the better part of the day shopping for just the right attire. This is a wonderful opportunity to try and improve relations with the Horde. It’s almost unbelievable that the Knights would be chosen to take part! Hopefully it will be a peaceful and pleasant trip with positive results. I am just so excited that I can hardly wait!
October Twenty-Eighth

I went to the Harbor in Stormwind tonight just to stare at the Sea, like I used to do on the hills of Westfall when I was a little girl. The moon was so big and bright and I couldn’t help but wonder if my husband was looking up at the sky and taking note of its beauty as well.
I think that I’ve found that it’s more lonely knowing that a person is gone from your side because they have to be, yet with the possibility of coming back to you, than to know that someone has left this world for good. Of course I miss my mother and father, but I am able to accept that they can’t come back. With Vinceant…it seems so much harder. He always has been a bit distant and would disappear from time to time. It’s just never been for so long. I don’t know what to do anymore. I’ve searched everywhere.
And what of the rest of my family? Grandmother is nowhere to be found and it seems that Uncle Ravis has fallen off the face of the earth. As for the Emrials, I have yet to see Priestess Natikya since our chance encounter in the Square the other day and Satu has been preoccupied with guild affairs. I also haven’t seen Akado or his family in quite some time. So many troubles in the world, I suppose that I should be thankful that even though my ‘family’ is away right now I still have a family of friends in the Knights who are there if I truly needed them.
Soon I was joined in my watching by a draenei who asked why I was looking out at the sea. I told her that I was waiting for my husband, who was fighting in the North, to return. She relayed that she had been on one of the first ships to Northrend, just as Vinceant had, and that while she had not been prepared for what they faced at first, things now were going well. “Those fighting will be home soon,” she said. “Keep the faith.” I was thankful for her words of encouragement, despite already knowing how things with the war against the Scourge have been going. They gave me some comfort, and the hope that the war may be over soon eased some of my loneliness.
Unfortunately, I did not get to ask her if she had known, or seen Vinceant, but I am grateful for that draenei’s kindness. I left the Harbor with a new hope: Just a while longer and perhaps he will return.

Oh, I haven’t been this worried in quite sometime. Not since Vinceant left for Northrend. I was visiting Stormwind today, having grown tired of the cold and now all too familiar landscapes of the Northern lands, and as I was passing through Cathedral Square, I ran across Satu’s mother, Priestess Natikya. I was happy to see her, seeing how it had been so long. She looked well, radiant even. I could tell right away that something thrilling had happened.
“Rose,” she said to me, “I do not have to search anymore.” At her words hope began to well up in my heart. I knew what she meant by “search.” The priestess had been an encouragement and a role model for me since my husband’s disappearance. For as long as I could remember she had roamed the world in search of her own husband, and even though everyone continued to tell her it was a hopeless effort, even her own daughter, she continued to believe that he was out there, somewhere.
“You mean you found him?” I asked, beginning to feel her excitement myself.
Eagerly she nodded and began to divulge when and where she and her husband had reunited after these past long years. Once she had finished, enthused by her great fortune, I asked her if Satu knew yet. Immediately the joy drained from Priestess Natikya’s face.
She revealed that Rosque and she had not told Satu yet, and were uncertain of when to tell her. Knowing Satu’s feelings about her father, I could understand, but eventually, she’s going to have to find out. And then when she finds out that her father is a Death Knight… Thus began my worry. The priestess swore me to secrecy, and I gladly promised that I wouldn’t tell her daughter, but I worry for the happiness of all of them. The Emrial’s are the closest thing to family that I have left, and I pray to the Light that Satu can end her animosity toward her father.
As Priestess Natikya and I parted, a new hope and a new worry began to battle inside me. I used my hearthstone to return me to the Argent Tournament grounds. Frantically I began searching the rings, having suddenly realized that perhaps my husband had been, or was, competing. I didn’t know why I hadn’t thought of it before. Jousting would have been something appealing to him. But right along with the faint glimmer of hope, was the fear that perhaps Vinceant, like Rosque, had been “reborn in undeath.”
For hours I questioned participants and spectators alike, as well as Argent Crusade members, but no one had seen him. Once it grew dark I returned to Dalaran and the safety of the inn where I have been staying. Tomorrow I will continue my search. I had been so close to giving up, but I can’t now, not with fresh hope to motivate me.
Briar Rose's journal is a slim, red and gold tome with flames depicted on its face. Upon closer inspection the flames actually appear to be dancing, nearly leaping up from the surface. A clasp holds the pages shut with a faintly glowing rune etched where a lock should be. Inside the pages are full of flowing script and with each leaf turned it would seem that there are more entries than there is room for sheets of paper.
