Character Details

Ax
53
Male
Single
Chaotic Neutral
Brown hair and beard.
Navy blue eyes.
5'5"
barrel-chested
He contains a wide scar across the upper part of his neck, tracing itself to the lower edge of his ear.
His scars do not impair him much, but on days of rain tends to become distracted.
Usually light clothed; heavy armor tends to make you sink!

Usually is wearinghis tabard of the Corsairs, and is usually in red-styled armor.
Axneth is quite tall for a male dwarf, coming in at about five foot five. His broad shoulders and strong chest accompany his nimble looking hands with an odd feeling as he wanders about the tavern. His skin looks of a dark tanned tone, the feel rugged as you grip his hand which he extends to those he thinks should be wishin' his help or simply out of respect. His beard is a touch of red to his dark brown beard, the edges of the bottom seeming to have been burnt by some unknown source at the chest. The smell that comes off him is both that of the sea and of a botanical, though if on land for a while it becomes that of the woods.

When he says a good day to you, his voice is a deep sound rolling over gravel, perhaps of one who was used to shouting commands. His stance around many is that of a grizzled leader, but his face seems considerate and thoughtful, the two aspets almost clashing. His nose is that of a normal dwarf, and not too distinguishable, and his lips encase themselves within his flowing beard. As he looks up from his wide brimmed hat, you may catch a wide scar visible across the upper part of his neck, tracing itself to the lower edge of his ear.

As you gaze upon him further a couple things catch your eye; across his chest lays a large pouch, the sound of chinkling glass and shifting liquids to be heard if he moves too quickly. His two swords look worn and well sharpen-if he carries an axe you may wish to stay out of his wake as he is probably deeply iritated by someone or thing. On his back is a small instrument, long and stringed. If played, it may remind you of the deserts of Tanaris.
Axes, swords, or a two-hander blade.
Dwarvish Accent, depending on his mood how badly it affects him; but Usually common. When swearing however, his voice travels between orcish and dwarvish.
Tolerant, ambient sort of fellow. Where one were to talk with him, one may notice his eccentrics and is also a bit stubborn when it comes to helping people. "People need t'ah be'h stoppin' wit' d'ere pride in d'ose critical moments it migh' kill 'em."
Quirks, well, that's all ya can be sayin' -he may be a tad quirky.
Alchemy of the Eccentrics! (Inquire within), as well as a marine and sailor. ICly and OOCly, he is an engineer and blacksmith.
Dancing, singing, and cooking.
He also owns a eight-cannon brig named The Ironswift.
Stormrider Corsairs, affliated to the Honour Guard.
Axarus Ironswift->Nephew, Sakero (The cook), Derrikan Ironswift->Brother, Kaelia->Friend, Asmeera->Friend, Venarii->Friend, Eadan->Friend
Anyone who happens to de-grade any of his fellow companions.
Sakero the Cook and murloc. Description will be put here soon.

History

Ironforge

Axneth had a pretty average life of training and fighting till about the age of twenty-nine when the Second War began. He was a captain of several mercenaries as a boarding party on the Celdessa, a Kul Tiras frigate which was part of a massive fleet to rout the ships the Kul Tiras Navy apperently laughed at which they called "The Horde's Fleet". When the ships clashed and the battle ensued, Axneth came blade to blade with a blademaster named Derrikan. They both fought on Nash'goh's Hammer For two hours forth, the battle around them seeming to stop as the roars and shouts of the two stunned the crews. Finally, seeing as equal as they were, the two boarding parties stopped for a caesefire, (or at least a breathing break.) The two complimented each other on their skills, and found they could, haltingly, converse on common ground in goblin. Before the fight could continue, the Kul Tiras fleet, badly ravaged, called the signal to retreat. The pair broke off to their own vessels, vowing to meet again.

After the War, Axneth settled a bit for searching for the blademaster through the the intern camps and every couple of hiding spots he knew. He had a few close encounters, though soon one refugee who spoke rough common in one of the two refugee camps he found directed him to the Hinterland mountains. There he found the Blademaster with his son, Axarus. Soon he came to visit with gifts and soon they helped each other be taught their own native tongue. He soon had Axarus like a nephew, being rather happy at the jesting of his fellows at the visits he made to the then unknown "nephew and sword brother".

Then came on Axarus' twenty-five year they were sent out with two other company of men to find what happened to a missing fleet of merchant ships along the Silverpine coast. Their own six ship flotilla came under fog and then was ambushed by two scourge-turned frigates; named The Loss and The Regret. Axneth's own vessel, The Stout Alesmen, was boarded almost immediately, where Axneth and several of his companions were beseeched by two death knights and their horde of undead and living. Axneth and the sailors fought tooth and nail, but after striking down one of the death knights, the counterpart death knight ran him through, uttering the words,

"Well fool, you shall now serve me in stead of the one you killed." The Loss and three of the privateering vessels were sunk or burning, and for three months after Axneth perished on the blade, his body and soul was controlled by the knight he now knew as Sir Mazerkal, slaughtering sailors and marines alike in other raids. Mazerkal, for some unknown reason, kept his body healthly and living, perhaps to have him grow further in his dexerity or strength in muscle. However, after one particular raid; Sir Mazerkal was destroyed in two be a lucky cannonball that hit him straight in the chest. Axneth gained conciousness as Mazerkal died out, realizing his soon to be fate if found amongst the scourge. In the chaos, he snuck aboard the Kul Tiras frigate, dumping the armor on the scourge ship and putting on some spare clothes he found aboard the navy frigate. Finding soon later a sabre, he then assumed the role as one of the deckhands, flowing back into his old role years before; and even soon joined the crew in their antics.

As they got ashore, Axneth waved to the men on board Blade of Tandred and moved off, searching for the orcs he had befriended before he had endured the three months of controlled hell. He found them with a mid-sized brig called Ironswift, a small crew and a easy fitting place to welcome him back in.

He now is the helmsman of the Ironswift, and searches for new entertainment or something exciting to fill his days as he lives on.

Honour Guard member for a bit.

Good friend of Venarii the paladin.

Joined The Stormrider Corsairs.

He discovered his talent for fighting from simply starting young as a bouncer at the Ales and Axes, a tavern near the gryphon roost in Ironforge. Inside he met a sniper who taught him the basics of shooting and fighting, and soon began his training.

Journal

January 19, Getting Back Down to Business!

Created On: 01/19/2010 04:57:17
It's been some time that I wrote in this journal I suppose, it was gathering dust on a table in the back of the room. The past few weeks have been if anything busy, and several friends who disappeared have come back into view, and it seems also that we've made quite a few new friends aboard both the Ironswift as well as Stormrider. We've gotten some new crewmates aboard for one, Kelson and Deavon; Annamarie has been hard at work convincin' the talent I reckon! On the Ironswift, it seems Garnett finally got off the ship last month and has been with this "Court of Miracles" group of gypsies; just hope it's fer' the better! And Axarus seems to have found an interesting companion these days, a one shaman named Ukari whose past has more leaps and bounds then perhaps mine.

I'm breathing again! At least, now I need to. The new body feels weak as feck, but at least now I can train up my muscle mass once again. I'm doing some self training for now, but when I feel confident I'm gonna see if I can spar with Azri without losing too much blood. (Life as I now remember tends to complicate things in battle, practice or otherwise.) Kaelia, or rather Sam, after her long tiome in Icecrown, has come back to Stormwind to grace her prescence in mine and the Syndicate; and one of us is scared still shiteless of her haha. I'd like to mention to her she owes me a new belt after cutting through the last one, but best not be doing so, since the only thing stopping her was that priestess. It has been interesting what Sam's been doing betwixt us two, considering everyone else in her opinion. Guess I'll just continue seeing it as an honor and hope I survive her playful wrath.

On a last note it's that the alchemic business has been a little slow, so I've taken the rather risky route of performing crafts in both engineering and blacksmithing at the same time. Hopefully I don't mix the two one day and make an explosive chestplate haha-oh wait I should write that down.

November 6th, a Frenzy of Activity

Well, what a bloody couple of weeks it's been, and if anything it's been earth shatterin'. And it all almost started with that rather mixed-approach of that dream I had, which I've come to call The Making of the Amaranth. I don't know how, and even Emisario's explanation was while simply still cryptic to me, of why I recieved this vision; perhaps something senses perhaps my efforts with our troublesome Kaelia; haha, I'm counting my lucky stars she didn't roast my tripes last night! The ship's been quiet this week, tho' a new chest of gold from the 31st last month is what I gained last month, I'm rather content. I also have two people curious of joining the Corsairs; if they can get their sea-legs.

I've come across something else as well, after checking in and seeing everyone was all right (As they can be anyway hah!); my journies into the ancient Eldre'Thalas, known nowa'days as Dire Maul. I had become friendly with the rather occult group inside the ruined city, the Shen'dralar, and came across a flask I thought miraclous. X'then'dis, Phienox. Fearing perhaps my new companions may wish to hide the book later, I replaced the book with one of my old tomes and decided to borrow the text that seemed to be the work of a highborne alchemist named Cal'theas Venth'ias. For the sake of complicity, as I am modifying his flask, I think the new name it shall obtain is the Soulburner potion. The details within I'm still trying to understand, but now that I have most of the core materials thanks to the utmost care of Emisario, I can begin preparations to create the Soulburner. With this, in a week's so of time, we shall be able to create three if needed, but one will be enough; and what has been set in motion, [There's a scribbling out here] No, what perhaps might be fate, to let the Amaranth to come to it's own accord and not be the everlasting symbol of suffering and pain in it's grace.

Confusion of a New Relation, and the Mysterious Turn of Another

Created On: 10/28/2009 07:17:32
It has been a couple days since I remembered to write in this, but these last few days have been nothing if not filled to say the least.

Eadan bumped into me again, her little nose looking a tinge of red as he tended to sneeze while speaking to me. She was accompanied by a rather protective looking elf, whom I found was Zarrakh, and also the one, whom I'm guessing should be happening, the one courting her. She's looking a bit tight about the edges; not that I minded haha, and said that Axarus may be able to spy upon her gear again politely to see if he could help design some more armor for her shape.

Kaelia is once again an odd woman indeed, her mind somewhat changing from one moment to the next. On one hand, she's a polite but somewhat quiet lass; the next, she's rather sardonic and independant with her presence. Though, with the last two days, I have had some insight to her life-she really hasn't ever had a friend, abet a stubborn one haha. And, while she doesn't seem to mind too much of my presence, she seems to sften a bit day by day, and, when she's ready, we can sit down and talk about the small things I've seen to overlook out of politeness and for the sense of companionship. Its still a bit shaky, as her mind seems to be suspicious against any form of kindness; but I'll be here to help her along, and erhaps show her she doesn't ned to shut out the world to be at peace.

Asmeera, what the fel has happened to her? Feck, my head still throbs from her jab at my mind and I wonder had I been nod in focus what might have happened to my sanity. She disappeared, just for a moment, in my mind, then came back, but...something was amiss. Tenative, I tried communicating along this mental connection, She was in a spiral of despair, of confusion, and it seemed quite a bit of amnesia. I somewhat scared my friends around me when I collapsed after she shrieked to get away from her mind, sending some sort of attack along that mental line. All I know was she was in the Stormwind Docks, perhaps she's moved on; but, in her modest case, something is extremely wrong here.

A Tolerant Scarlet Highlord?

Created On: 10/23/2009 09:39:49
Ah bugger, what a couple o' days it's been! Been none too quiet ever since I got back from that thrice-damned expedition that's fer sure. Spy seems rather content now, drawing up sketches of landscape 'fer the most part, and Axarus is out hunting as usual. My life has been rather pleasent myself; all in all, the crew of the Ironswift is doing grandly.

It seems Saraeyu got on the ship again, and it also seems this time Darkson caught her playing at the wheel. Things got tense for the first bit, but it seems ta'h relax when Darkson considered lil' Saraeyu's peculiarities. I have to agree with him sometimes; is it pure innocence or dull-minded thought sometimes that drives her hah! Shortly after, it seems that I finally lost Deficon as a watchdog (personally the man can't even keep an' eye on his own feet, considerin' how distracted he was of not looking about me) and now have become the babysitter of Saraeyu. She seems to understand the concept of no opening locked doors, but I'll have to check on her once or twice just in case. Darkson said he'll take care of Saraeyu, but minds to investigate this Regoth. Myself I've heard description and rumor, but overall the man sounds like a decent fellow; least, heh, not too decent. I had mentioned Venarii to him as well, and rolled in my dice wit' hers. I certainly hope the meeting at the pig an' whistle went smoothly, tho' I'm thinkin' it did. And, a bloody good after-thought, I've been informally ajoined as a full crewmember haha, from Darkson's own mouth too. By the Nether it was a rather pleasent sound ta'h here.

The Spicy Murloc I found opens weekly in the Park District, and to my observance, is served by two-fine looking barmaids surely. Apperently the cook ran off, really couldn't see why. And apperently my tongue had been silverwashed that night heh, got a silver off my meals and a free drink! I must give the recipe of making nog to Sakero to make sometime.

After that, I decided to look into the Cathedral fer a bit; and lo'h behold, a woman dressed as a scarlet was all relaxed leaning back on one of the side benches to the wall. Feeling rather ambigious about the whole of today, I thought of givin' the lass a shot and see if they had been corruptin' her mind yet. What a surprise in itself as I find myself looking at a Scarlet Highlord, and a pretty wench too I reckon! I said a good evening to her, and surprise again was giving a smile, an acknowledging nod, and a pleasent hello back. Now, I know I'm not an' obvious death knight, but as a dwarf an' that status usually had scarlets goin' 'fer their swords in the mere sight o' me. Now, it seems that Northrend has melted; Scarlets with intelligence and tolerance! She apperent was of the officers of the first group, the March [A warding symbol of evil is drawn here] which I thought bastards ta'h the last. Her companion, Methon, was able to speak to me on the ways these scarlets handled things rather then the former when the Highlord, Leostia was her name, had to leave for a moment. It wasn't long however before a gnome rushed around the corner, reporting a woman who was wounded in the scarlet dorms. Us three rushed down to find her breathing and weakly concious. Rushing down the stairs as a fourth man came down and saw to her wounds, me, Methon, and the gnome came across a death knight in the crypts, looking about the end of it. I left the gnome and Methon to deal with him and came up a runnin' to where Leostia lay. The poor man had tied bandaging and slowly healing the wound, but at best all he could do was hold back the bloodflow since he did not have advanced knowledge of the healing rites. I pulled out my vials once more (Note to self, I need to stock up further on Troll Voodoo regeants and for the Silversage Anesthetic) and applied them as best I could. Luckily, like Asmeera she did had, the potion absorbed enthusiastically into her body, but not as equally of course. It did the job however, and the wound after ten minutes looked about two months old and healed well. But, since it seems the anesthetic did not turn out well, I would rather be aways a bit when she wakes up heh.

Bumped into Behellagh again at the Blue Recluse, and we talked for a bit of our quirks again. Facinating lass, even more of her accent! I feel a bit sheepish tho', since apperently a dwarf in his prime is considered old anyway by look haha, I'm not some dotting ole' human that's fer sure. Can't give a lass a compliment these days without lookin' ta'h her bedside apperently.

Siblings and Their Worries

Created On: 10/22/2009 10:18:07
Well, who woulda known that I be meetin' so many new faces within a month! Asmeera, Kielia, Atto, the Corsairs, Xenaii and several members of this news group. The taverns have been pleasent and the company even better then the ale! Tho, wit' this city I have put myself in, grand ole' Stormwind has been showin' off their quirks within an' without it's walls. Why just today I've had some rather interesting events.

The first was while huntin' for turtles off the southern Tanaris shore, I happen to have come across Asmeera the priestess and her borther, Dashien. Both looked to be rather injured, Asmeera herself havin' her breath wracked with evidence of a couple broken ribs. I inquired as to what happened, but was stopped mid-sentance as they started bickering about just what DID happen in that moment. Three on one for both heh, one of them even mounted! I decided to stay silent for a while, and then to a point where Dashien strode off a bit muttering something. I myself chased after Asmeera as she held her ribs and tried to take her leave from this apparent gong show. Stepping in front of her, I quickly found there was a rather shy side to her when I asked clinically to check her injuries. After a bit of fast talking and a bit of compassion, she allowed me to build up a fire and tend to her needs. However, it was at this point where Dashien, irritated about something, (hopefully not of my presence in this discussion) he gripped his hearthstone and vanished. The man certainly hasn't given me a second good impression of him neither, even if he did defend his sister in the fray. Asmeera, apperently, had more then just some fractured an' broken ribs under her robes hoever when she slipped off them off. the skin around her stomach and approaching her chest was rittled in scars, a stitch or do, and a rather balatant "S" etched in by some cruel knife. I had also found a sword wound that rended her of bearing children, a sad existence of mute evidence she has of the fact. Working quickly, after finding the pressure points, thank the light that one of them wasn't trying to prod through the skin or into her soft tissues, I pulled out the usual three vials when working on patients of this extent; Lifebloom Oil, Troll's Voodoo and SIlversage Anesthetic. her rather shumble to the ground however had me reveal the F.E.R. just in case she did fall unconcious to exhaustion. To my amazement, it seeed we did not need to rub in the Silversage this time, as the Voodoo flask seem to absorb into her body almost enthusiastically, raising to the levels of perhaps even the Lifebloom's recuperating power. It also removed many of her scars, particularly the rugged S that marked her so. I'm sure whoever made that scar tho' will be'h rather mad with both me an' her one they notice heh; bring it I say!

As I sent that priestess blushing after giving her a complimentry kiss on the hand goodbye, (who would have thought that lass would have acted like that off the battlefield) I ran into a lass as I walked into the valleys of the Alterac mountains, a dwarven priestess with a fiery personality and tongue by thunder haha. Behellagh was her name, and sometime tonight I shall be meetin' this woman for a drink, one of Asmeera's friends 'ta boot. I wonder tho', is Asmeera's presence to keep me in line, or hers.

It is weathered and old, the marking upon the leather book from good use. it looks like it is missing a score of pages or so, and as several strange and obscure pictures and scribbles in the back.

As requested, I updated your character portrait with our round frame design. I chose blue as a background, since Axneth has an affinity for the sea. Let me know if it works for you, or if you want changes. (Avatar mailed as requested.)

Welcome, welcome!

Welcome to our family of RP Geeks, Axneth! I just love your character portrait -- I assume that is you in costume?

Also, per our conversation last night, I decided to add a new field just for a character's Physical Description -- this new field accepts more text, and I placed the RSP information you pasted into your journal area into that new field for you. The existing Appearance/Features field is now just a Features field and remains just one line only. I think that works out well -- thank you for the feedback on that!

Excellent work on your character sheet! I enjoyed reading it and I look forward to more in the future.
Feedback from Axneth: Thank you thank you! And yes it's me for halloween, since rp events (up until now) I thought didn't exist up here in Alberta =P
