Axarus was born shortly before the Second War, his father Derrikan a blademaster in training by then. His mother was a orc medic who usually spent a bit of her time stitching up Derrikan whenever he lost in a challenge or barely won, those few times he did. In the Second War, His mother was lost to the ravages of war near the Stromgarde front while his father was sent on the naval forces against that opf the Kul Tiras. He was four when he met Axneth Gennas the dwarf. The dwarf became something as his uncle, visiting them often in their hide-away hut in the Hinterland mountains, which sat along with a score of other orc families that had seeked refuge after the end of the Second War.

Soon after, as he grew up into manhood, he began learning the rough language of the dwarves, in which the dwarvish tongue accented his own orcish in the mix. Finally, when he was ready, he went along with Axneth on a flotilla of five vessels to the coast of Silverpine to look into the disappearance of several merchant vessels. The flotilla was then set upon by fog before being ambushed by two large scourge ravaged frigates, renamed The Regret and The Loss. Three ships, including one Axneth was on, were boarded immediately. The Loss ironically was sunk, but The Regret was able to vanish amongst the flaming ships they had attacked. Axneth, nowhere to be found, was to him thought to have died somehow horribly upon one of the three burning ships before they sank to the bottom.

However, three months later he finds Axneth again, a deathknight born but otherwise his usual old self. Him, Derrikan, and Axneth now sail between the two continents aboard The Ironswift, a brig that was built shortly before Axneth's re-appearance; which they planned to use for trading and perhaps some privateering as well. Axneth also brought along one thing that Axarus had talent in; alchemy. Though sadly, it does not seem to be the usual alchemy stocked flasks and elixirs...
