Met with potential crew member Deficon and the Captain on the docks. Later that day, she had a meeting with Shkinwe, who also wanted to join the crew. The Captain showed up at the end of that meeting. Both sailors joined the crew. (10/4)
Decided to work on stocking the ship for the winter and upcoming encounters. Contacted new Stormrider crew members through letters with various tasks. Requested crewmate Anna Marie create 10 scrolls of enchant cloak (superior defense). Requested crewmate Glodd create 10 heavy armor kits. Requested crewmates Axneth, Shkinwe, Lrr, and Deficon visit this site and write their histories. (10/6)
Received scrolls from Anna Marie and armor kits from Glodd, then gave them both some coins for their efforts. Requested both create and send bandages to stock the sickbay -- 30 netherweave bandages from Anna Marie and 30 mageweave bandages from Glodd. (10/8)

A little bit of sunshine
And the bud becomes a rose
A little bit of kindness
And a friendship blooms and grows
My birthday came around a couple of days ago. I wasn't expecting anything -- very few of the crew really know me yet, let alone know my birthday. So imagine my surprise to open my mailbox and have a more than a dozen roses tumble out onto the paving stones! So many of the crew had sent flowers and sweet notes! I carried the bouquet of roses around with me all day and my heart sang with happiness.
What a busy, busy day!

This morning started out as any morning does ... I rushed down to the auction house, arms full of scrolls and goods. The Stormrider crew is always giving me more "appropriated" items to auction to the highest bidder, and I am pleased to be of service to them. While I was going about my business, I was contacted by several rather interesting individuals, each apparently wanting to join the crew. I'd never seen anything like it, and I almost wonder if one of our newer crew members is spreading the word down at the harbor.
I contacted the Captain and we met with two men ... an odd man by the name of Deficon down at the docks, and an old elf by the name Shkinwe onboard one of the old ships moored there. Both seemed eager to lend their hand to our efforts, and the Captain allowed both to join the crew provided they follow our orders. I must say, the Captain took a very hard line with both ... he scared even me. I suppose he must assert his dominance early in the game if he is to be an effective Captain. But it did remind me of how unwise it would be to cross him.
