Character Details

Ax
53
Male
Single
Chaotic Neutral
Brown hair and beard.
Navy blue eyes.
5'5"
barrel-chested
He contains a wide scar across the upper part of his neck, tracing itself to the lower edge of his ear.
His scars do not impair him much, but on days of rain tends to become distracted.
Usually light clothed; heavy armor tends to make you sink!
Dressed in dull leathers and cloth.
Axneth is quite tall for a male dwarf, coming in at about five foot five. His broad shoulders and strong chest accompany his nimble looking hands with an odd feeling as he wanders about the tavern. His skin looks of a dark tanned tone, the feel rugged as you grip his hand which he extends to those he thinks should be wishin' his help or simply out of respect. His beard is a touch of red to his dark brown beard, the edges of the bottom seeming to have been burnt by some unknown source at the chest. The smell that comes off him is both that of the sea and of a botanical, though if on land for a while it becomes that of the woods.

When he says a good day to you, his voice is a deep sound rolling over gravel, perhaps of one who was used to shouting commands. His stance around many is that of a grizzled leader, but his face seems considerate and thoughtful, the two aspets almost clashing. His nose is that of a normal dwarf, and not too distinguishable, and his lips encase themselves within his flowing beard. As he looks up from his wide brimmed hat, you may catch a wide scar visible across the upper part of his neck, tracing itself to the lower edge of his ear.

As you gaze upon him further a couple things catch your eye; across his chest lays a large pouch, the sound of chinkling glass and shifting liquids to be heard if he moves too quickly. His two swords look worn and well sharpen-if he carries an axe you may wish to stay out of his wake as he is probably deeply iritated by someone or thing. On his back is a small instrument, long and stringed. If played, it may remind you of the deserts of Tanaris.
Axes, swords, or a two-hander blade.
Dwarvish Accent, depending on his mood how badly it affects him; but Usually common. When swearing however, his voice travels between orcish and dwarvish.
Tolerant, ambient sort of fellow. Where one were to talk with him, one may notice his eccentrics and is also a bit stubborn when it comes to helping people. "People need t'ah be'h stoppin' wit' d'ere pride in d'ose critical moments it migh' kill 'em."
Quirks, well, that's all ya can be sayin' -he may be a tad quirky.
Alchemy of the Eccentrics! (Inquire within), as well as a ex-marine and sailor. ICly and OOCly, he is an engineer and blacksmith.
Dancing, singing, and cooking.
He also owns a eight-cannon brig named The Ironswift.

History

Ironforge

Axneth had a pretty average life of training and fighting till about the age of twenty-nine when the Second War began. He was a captain of several mercenaries as a boarding party on the Celdessa, a Kul Tiras frigate which was part of a massive fleet to rout the ships the Kul Tiras Navy apperently laughed at which they called "The Horde's Fleet". When the ships clashed and the battle ensued, Axneth came blade to blade with a blademaster named Derrikan. They both fought on Nash'goh's Hammer For two hours forth, the battle around them seeming to stop as the roars and shouts of the two stunned the crews. Finally, seeing as equal as they were, the two boarding parties stopped for a caesefire, (or at least a breathing break.) The two complimented each other on their skills, and found they could, haltingly, converse on common ground in goblin. Before the fight could continue, the Kul Tiras fleet, badly ravaged, called the signal to retreat. The pair broke off to their own vessels, vowing to meet again.

After the War, Axneth settled a bit for searching for the blademaster through the the intern camps and every couple of hiding spots he knew. He had a few close encounters, though soon one refugee who spoke rough common in one of the two refugee camps he found directed him to the Hinterland mountains. There he found the Blademaster with his son, Axarus. Soon he came to visit with gifts and soon they helped each other be taught their own native tongue. He soon had Axarus like a nephew, being rather happy at the jesting of his fellows at the visits he made to the then unknown "nephew and sword brother".

Then came on Axarus' twenty-five year they were sent out with two other company of men to find what happened to a missing fleet of merchant ships along the Silverpine coast. Their own six ship flotilla came under fog and then was ambushed by two scourge-turned frigates; named The Loss and The Regret. Axneth's own vessel, The Stout Alesmen, was boarded almost immediately, where Axneth and several of his companions were beseeched by two death knights and their horde of undead and living. Axneth and the sailors fought tooth and nail, but after striking down one of the death knights, the counterpart death knight ran him through, uttering the words,

"Well fool, you shall now serve me in stead of the one you killed." The Loss and three of the privateering vessels were sunk or burning, and for three months after Axneth perished on the blade, his body and soul was controlled by the knight he now knew as Sir Mazerkal, slaughtering sailors and marines alike in other raids. Mazerkal, for some unknown reason, kept his body healthly and living, perhaps to have him grow further in his dexerity or strength in muscle. However, after one particular raid; Sir Mazerkal was destroyed in two be a lucky cannonball that hit him straight in the chest. Axneth gained conciousness as Mazerkal died out, realizing his soon to be fate if found amongst the scourge. In the chaos, he snuck aboard the Kul Tiras frigate, dumping the armor on the scourge ship and putting on some spare clothes he found aboard the navy frigate. Finding soon later a sabre, he then assumed the role as one of the deckhands, flowing back into his old role years before; and even soon joined the crew in their antics.

As they got ashore, Axneth waved to the men on board Blade of Tandred and moved off, searching for the orcs he had befriended before he had endured the three months of controlled hell. He found them with a mid-sized brig called Ironswift, a small crew and a easy fitting place to welcome him back in.

He now is the helmsman of the Ironswift, and searches for new entertainment or something exciting to fill his days as he lives on.

Honour Guard member for a bit.

Good friend of Venarii the paladin.

Joined The Stormrider Corsairs.

Melee Reaper

One of the two injections, this one focuses with your reflexes, breathing, muscles, and blood flow. It works to increase your agility, efficiency of strength, and durability. Lasts ten minutes per shot.
Warning: too many shots of Liquid eye will cause muscle spasms and a jittering of the teeth, a considered four for a maximum for every two hours.

Hycilline's Demise
Either applied, drank, injected; the tan red speckled liquid will infect the body with itself, causing the major muscles (like legs, arms, and neck) to slow greatly for a good thirty minutes. However, it can be cleansed using Axneth's Fury Cooler or a few other anti-toxins.

Sailor's Ruby Sun
A concoction usually set in a bottle with a White cross on a red background, it is used to treat the effects of motion or in particular sea sickness.

Sailor's Scarlet Moon
When drank, the elixir gives off the taste of strong grog. After about five minutes, the user will feel a dryness in their throat, followed soon by a pain in their gums. Their arteries will feel like they are on fire, and symptoms similar to scurvy will appear within two hours. The effects last for a total of five hours. (Tested on Troggs, Murlocs and a Kolbold)

Talia's Tear
An aptly named potion, the small vial that contains this usually is simply glass, but the contents are powerful. A single drop will bring someone to tears in about three minutes, lasting for over two. Useful in distractions or other misc uses.

Ghostly Elixir
More of the poisons, this creamy-like concoction clears out upon rubbing into the skin, then begins it's work. After about ten minutes from contact, the user will feel slightly clammy and look a bit pale. After thirty minutes their throat will feel sore as well, this paleness increasingly. Finally, their voice box strings with go hoarse, causing the person to most likely stumble into whispers, feeling lightheaded and about as pale as a sheet.

Poison of My Eye
A well named pun, as the poison itself tastes like sugar, the only difference is when it is in it's powered form of being a tinge of brown and yellow against the white base. The induced side effects upon digesting it 30 minutes later are nausea, lowered eyesight (things get dimmer, blurry), and soon afterwards ulcer-causing vomiting. If supplied on say a cupcake, that is a non-lethal dose; but any more then 50g is incapacitated (This is not to say the former does not give you a -bad- day.)

Blood of the Plant
A good way to spend Hallows End or if you happen to have a bloodthirsty friend over, this is a dye solution that one can put into a drink or food to get it the scarlet shade of a fresh kill, a sure hit with the ogres! Is non-toxic as well, and gives the faintest sweet tint to the flavour. Use salt and copper powder for a more realistic effect.

Nervo-gone
Simple named, but easy to use, one can put this in water and it dissipates within a minute. It specifically goes after the parts of the brain for the build up of anxiety and adrenaline, and promptly drains them or numbs them out, relaxing the person in question most likely. Jointly made with Jazak the Goblin of Rachet.

Vadan's Shrill Horror

More as the ultimate curse, but can guess at the effects, when the essence is introduced through the user, the person will then after several minutes here a murmur, the murmur with growing pace turning into the sound they most fear. Effects last for fifteen minutes.

The Polar Bear Story

Created On: 01/26/2011 16:49:10
Edited By Axneth On: 01/31/2011 04:50:52
The Polar Bear Tale, The Original Horde Version

Now the tale you are about to hear is the meaning behind most warning labels on Lifebloom Oil. Now what is Lifebloom Oil perhaps? Well now, it is an elixir created by the Ironswift family, Axarus the Orc in particular. What is does is essentially be a healing salve: wounds, diseases, and most poisons; if it isn't curse or magically enhanced, it seeks it out and destroys it as it returns the body to it's original healthy state! It needs a minute or two to begin the process (also don't expect regrown limbs from a single dose!) but, that is where the problems begin. You see, there is a side effect, that come with this flask. The main ingredient is known as misileth, found along the nymph and dryad grounds and pools as a dark reddish purple flower. When distilled for this potion however, we found it's....well, let's be frank, aphrodisiac properties. We've found to our hundred or so tests of it that it has one become quite lustful and lost of most reasoning for about ten minutes once the red haze sets in on the eyes on the nearest animate object it can find.

Oh, you think you can resist it, perhaps even only use it to where it only heals you? Well, this is where that story comes in.

You see, we had a fellow, named Ruktor; wonderful little fellow he was, a blood elf too. Now he was missing a thumb, due to my dear friend Khaira's...well, cannibalistic habits as a Forsaken, (something about her hatred for the living since she isn't she tells me) and he came up to Axarus and Khaira one day by the northern Silvermoon Tavern. Axarus cracked a grin, asking if he wanted his thumb back....

“Digested or intact?” Ruktor retorted giving a snort as he tapped the stump of his thumb against his palm.

“Well, how about regrown?” Axarus responded mildly. Khaira's eyes grew wide, then she should her head quickly with a chuckle.

“Oh no, you want none of that.” Ruktor tilted his head, inquiringly as to what she meant. Axarus then proceeded to tell him about Lifebloom Oil, of it's effects...and of it's side effects. Ruktor shrugged, offering a grin.

“What's the least that can happen?”

With that, Axarus had prepared him several doss, two weeks worth in fact, and told him once daily would get back his thumb. Thinking nothing off it, Ruktor took the bag and dumped the first concoction to rub all over the stump of his thumb. It went from it's usual dull red to the glowing bright red upon contact with the skin, but other then that seemed to do nothing. Ruktor sat there for about half a minute, looking at it, before shrugging and waving goodbye.

Now, as he walked past, we come to the notion of the polar bear that sits outside the Inn. And as Ruktor walked past this polar bear...his eyes went hazy. He turned to the polar bear and, to the surprise and starling of the few bystanders as well as our dear couple, began to try and seduce the slowly more and more confused creature. Soon he came back, moving to Khaira first. “What is the best way to get her attention?” He asked her lovingly. She belched in his face, him snapping his fingers. “A great idea!” He moved over to Axarus then, grinning ear to ear wickedly. “What odds you think I got with her?” Jerking a thumb back at the Polar bear who raised an eyebrow at the thumb.

“Yah' got great odds lad.” He chuckled away as the man nodded and bounced back over to the polar bear, leaping on top of it. Now before this narrator needed to wretch something foul, Khaira was to shout out,

“I don't think he's going to like that!” The blood elf paused, then slid down slowly, checking the bear as we would for gender. He stood up, blinking his hazy eyes.

“My, my, this lady isn't a lady!” He moved quickly over to the front of the Polar bear, bowing and apologizing heavily. The polar bear, quite complacent by this nonthreatening creature, simply let him ramble on for a minute. After tat minute however, the poor fellow got it into his head that he could seduce it now since it was male, and continued on it's work. The group of nine, shocked once again at the elf's tenacity, gasped again and covered eyes as he leapt on top of the polar bear with hiked up robes.

It was then his eyes cleared suddenly, and he stopped. Now the other idea of the side effect is also it stops your reasoning as I said. Once the effects are done, I'm told it's like a flood of memories hit you to help you realize what you've done. This was clear on poor Ruktor's face as he slid off, starting at the polar bear, then looking to Axarus and Khaira, and then back to the polar bear. “Y-y-y-you just made me-” He started, then Khaira held up her hands, actually grinning!

“Don't look at us, we didn't do nothin'!” He started to shout again, but then started having a coughing bit. When we finished, a patch of white fur in his hand. He glanced at the polar bear, to the couple, then to the fur, finally sighing and tossing the fur behind him and heading inside, with Khaira in tow patting him on the back and cackling. Now Axarus paused as the group dispersed, then looked about Murder Row from his spot. Now what might he be searching for however? This was answered as he walked up to a blood elf up the street, jerking his thumb at the polar bear back at the tavern.

“Excuse me, is that your polar bear back there?” She quirked an eyebrow.

“. . .Yes, why?”

“Erm, you see,” Axarus rubbed the back of his neck. “There's been ah' bit of a drinking accident.”

“. . .What kind of drinking accident?” At this point and time, Ruktor and Khaira moved up the street. Axarus looked to Ruktor, asking if he wished to explain. Ruktor sighed, delegating the job to Khaira. Khaira just cackles, gesturing to the polar bear,

“If your polar bear has cubs with long ears or a really annoying voice, let us know.”

And that my friends is the Polar Bear story. So be cautious the next time you drink Lifebloom oil, who knows might be the next “Polar Bear” case.

January 19, Getting Back Down to Business!

Created On: 01/19/2010 04:57:17
It's been some time that I wrote in this journal I suppose, it was gathering dust on a table in the back of the room. The past few weeks have been if anything busy, and several friends who disappeared have come back into view, and it seems also that we've made quite a few new friends aboard both the Ironswift as well as Stormrider. We've gotten some new crewmates aboard for one, Kelson and Deavon; Annamarie has been hard at work convincin' the talent I reckon! On the Ironswift, it seems Garnett finally got off the ship last month and has been with this "Court of Miracles" group of gypsies; just hope it's fer' the better! And Axarus seems to have found an interesting companion these days, a one shaman named Ukari whose past has more leaps and bounds then perhaps mine.

I'm breathing again! At least, now I need to. The new body feels weak as feck, but at least now I can train up my muscle mass once again. I'm doing some self training for now, but when I feel confident I'm gonna see if I can spar with Azri without losing too much blood. (Life as I now remember tends to complicate things in battle, practice or otherwise.) Kaelia, or rather Sam, after her long tiome in Icecrown, has come back to Stormwind to grace her prescence in mine and the Syndicate; and one of us is scared still shiteless of her haha. I'd like to mention to her she owes me a new belt after cutting through the last one, but best not be doing so, since the only thing stopping her was that priestess. It has been interesting what Sam's been doing betwixt us two, considering everyone else in her opinion. Guess I'll just continue seeing it as an honor and hope I survive her playful wrath.

On a last note it's that the alchemic business has been a little slow, so I've taken the rather risky route of performing crafts in both engineering and blacksmithing at the same time. Hopefully I don't mix the two one day and make an explosive chestplate haha-oh wait I should write that down.

November 6th, a Frenzy of Activity

Created On: 11/06/2009 09:51:06
Edited By Axneth On: 11/06/2009 10:09:29
Well, what a bloody couple of weeks it's been, and if anything it's been earth shatterin'. And it all almost started with that rather mixed-approach of that dream I had, which I've come to call The Making of the Amaranth. I don't know how, and even Emisario's explanation was while simply still cryptic to me, of why I recieved this vision; perhaps something senses perhaps my efforts with our troublesome Kaelia; haha, I'm counting my lucky stars she didn't roast my tripes last night! The ship's been quiet this week, tho' a new chest of gold from the 31st last month is what I gained last month, I'm rather content. I also have two people curious of joining the Corsairs; if they can get their sea-legs.

I've come across something else as well, after checking in and seeing everyone was all right (As they can be anyway hah!); my journies into the ancient Eldre'Thalas, known nowa'days as Dire Maul. I had become friendly with the rather occult group inside the ruined city, the Shen'dralar, and came across a flask I thought miraclous. X'then'dis, Phienox. Fearing perhaps my new companions may wish to hide the book later, I replaced the book with one of my old tomes and decided to borrow the text that seemed to be the work of a highborne alchemist named Cal'theas Venth'ias. For the sake of complicity, as I am modifying his flask, I think the new name it shall obtain is the Soulburner potion. The details within I'm still trying to understand, but now that I have most of the core materials thanks to the utmost care of Emisario, I can begin preparations to create the Soulburner. With this, in a week's so of time, we shall be able to create three if needed, but one will be enough; and what has been set in motion, [There's a scribbling out here] No, what perhaps might be fate, to let the Amaranth to come to it's own accord and not be the everlasting symbol of suffering and pain in it's grace.

<< Start < Prev [1] 2 3 4 Next > End >>

It is weathered and old, the marking upon the leather book from good use. it looks like it is missing a score of pages or so, and as several strange and obscure pictures and scribbles in the back.

Welcome to our family of RP Geeks, Axneth! I just love your character portrait -- I assume that is you in costume?

Also, per our conversation last night, I decided to add a new field just for a character's Physical Description -- this new field accepts more text, and I placed the RSP information you pasted into your journal area into that new field for you. The existing Appearance/Features field is now just a Features field and remains just one line only. I think that works out well -- thank you for the feedback on that!

Excellent work on your character sheet! I enjoyed reading it and I look forward to more in the future.
Feedback from Axneth: Thank you thank you! And yes it's me for halloween, since rp events (up until now) I thought didn't exist up here in Alberta =P
